Solutions -- Coating and Laminating

Problem: Static on coating machines can ignite solvents, attract dust and shock operators.

Solution: See diagrams below. Place Static String™, Static Elastic™ and ion360F™ Rods as shown.

Recommendation: Place Static String, Static Elastic or ion360 Rods across the sheet or web and ground it to the bare metal of the machine. Adjust the distance from the sheet or web from a few inches away to direct contact until you get the optimum static removal for your application. Static String and ion360 Rods can be placed under or over the web or sheet after each roller that generates static.
